VISITING SCHOOL

You are encouraged to visit your child’s classroom during the year. Arrangements should be made in advance with the child’s teacher. Short, well-planned visits provide the best understanding of the child’s school experience. In order to minimize distractions to learning, we ask parents to make other arrangements for younger siblings when visiting.  Children not enrolled at the school must be accompanied by an adult. We request that cell phones be silenced or turned off.  Please respect the teacher’s job of instructing students.  If you wish to conference with the classroom teacher, arrange an appointment with the teacher. Arkansas staff appreciates your flexibility and support in all matters.

For the safety of students, all visitors are required to sign in at the office before visiting. Visitors must wear a “Visitor” badge Via Raptor.

Aurora Public Schools utilizes the Raptor system to sign in visitors to our schools.  This system utilizes a nationwide database to check background on those that visit our school.  We will insert your photo ID into our scanner and print out a visitor tag.  All visitors must present ID when visiting Arkansas.
